Remembering Mini: A True Special Friend

I remember the day I met her. I was only twelve years old at the time and she was just a few months old. She and her brother, Lucas, were definitely the cutest puppies of the pack- the ones which stood out most. From that very first day, this precious dog would often fix her gaze at me, as if she somehow already knew me.
It wasn’t long before one of my best friends in Mexico City and owners of these precious minuature Schnawsers would offer Mini as a gift to me and my family. It was one of the best gifts we have ever received as a family
She adjusted well to life at our Mexican residence. Despite being the youngest and smallest of our four dogs, she certainly learned her way into playing with the “big girls,” Sandy and Wally, and from a very early age she came to realize that she could pretty much get whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it
Indeed, it is no exaggeration to say that she became my mom’s daughter she never had. And so her life as a member of my family began. Soon afterwards, she would join us as we embarked on our life-changing decision to move to Vancouver, Canada, where she lived with us for an entire decade as she enjoyed her life to the fullest

Mini, Thank You for the good times, the unending laughs, and unforgettable moments of joy that you brought to us. Our life certainly would not have been the same without your presence
Above all... Thank You for showing us how to live life properly - by living it in the moment and doing things by doing nothing. In other words, letting it all come to you by simply doing what you did best: being
Though you can be sure you are greatly missed, I hope you know that you will never be forgotten
And until the day we come to meet again, rest in peace my dear friend.
